Drew Morris, Former Redblacks Linebacker is Newest Ace in Hangar

Hailing from Ottawa, ON, Morris is a CIS grad having spent his university career with the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville, NS. Upon graduating, Morris held the school record for all-time tackles with 202.
This spring Morris was with his hometown CFL team, the Ottawa Redblacks, however, was released by the team on June 8.
In his debut with the Fighter Jets on July 13 in Airdrie, after having just made the 36-hour drive from eastern Ontario, Morris was the team-voted top defensive player, with 9 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 knock-downs, and a forced fumble.
Cold Lake fans can see Morris at home for the first time when the Fighter Jets return to the newly named Thomas Varughese Field at the energy centre on July 27th. Kick off is 7pm vs the Central Alberta Buccaneers
