Fighter Jets Sign Local Talent

The Cold Lake Fighter Jets are pleased to announce the commitment of local football product, Jesse Myers as part of the 2019, 60-man roster. Myers’ committed to the team in early May and will be part of a talented Fighter Jets receiving core.

The 19-year-old Slotback has spent seven years developing within the Cold Lake Royals minor football system and was a member of the bantam team that won provincials.

“I definitely wanted to play football again so when the Fighter Jets announced they would be playing in Cold Lake, I jumped at the opportunity to play in the Alberta Football League,” said Myers.

“It’s exciting to get to play in-front of Cold Lake fans again and I think this team can be competitive in the AFL in it’s first season.”

At 6 feet tall, 195 pounds, the versatile back can line up inside at running back or be bounced wide to help spread the Fighter Jets offence. Myers excels run blocking and is highly effective at picking up yards after the catch.
